While you are enjoying the sights and sounds of spring during the Festival, be sure to visit the Garden Of Hope on grand river street North beside Sibbick Fuels. This garden was built to honor Cancer Survivors and in memory of those who did not survive. Take a little rest on one of the park benches and reflect on the memories of your loved ones who have passed on.

The Springtime In Paris Festival provides an opportunity for schools, churches, service clubs and youth groups to host a fun(d) raising event during the weekend of the festival. The Paris Horticultural Society hosts a garden tour; the Paris Optimist club presents their annual craft show and this year the Paris Legion is having a breakfast on Saturday morning. Mother Nature and Mother Nature in Waiting will preside over the Monarch Butterfly release at the opening ceremony on Saturday at 10:00 AM in Lions Park. There will be music at the band shell in Lions park on Friday and Saturday evening as well as all day Saturday and Sunday. A live birds of prey demonstration will be one of the many activities provided to delight persons of all ages.

The Festival committee in partnership with the Paris Horticultural Society has dedicated proceeds for the past 2 years to planting lilacs in our beautiful community and to date we have planted 37 lilacs.

Premier Marshall Arts

Joe Osborn is a 5th degree black belt in Premier Martial Arts. He is the winner of 3 World Championship titles and 2 world silver medals from 1996 to 1998. He is a coach on the Canadian National Karate Team for 2009, helping to prepare our team for the world championships in Paris France this November.

However, he feels that his greatest accomplishments take place in his studio every night, where he and his professional staff teach children of all ages the character building tools found only in his unique martial arts program. His accomplishments as a "Martial Artist" are many...but nowhere near as important as his victories as a "Mentor".

In his presentation at Springtime in Paris he will teach the "ABC's of Success" a special beginners workshop specifically designed to teach children about Focus, Self-Confidence, The Ability to Stay on Task, and the power of self-belief.

His center located on Scott Ave, Across from Mary Maxim, and is rated as one of the top schools in North America by BBSI (Black Belt Schools International).
