The Springtime in Paris Festival provides an opportunity for schools, churches, service clubs and youth groups to host a fund(d) raising event during the weekend of the festival. The Paris Horticultural Society hosts a garden tour; the Paris Optimist Club presents their annual craft show. Mother Nature presides over the Monarch Butterfly release at the opening ceremony on Saturday in Lions Park. There will be music and entertainment in the band shell all day Saturday and Sunday. A special demonstration by Jungle Cat World will be a highlight to delight persons of all ages. We are also fortunate to welcome children’s entertainer Erick Traplin to the band shell.
While you are enjoying the sights and sounds of Spring during the Festival, be sure to visit the many merchants in our Downtown (just one block from Lions Park). Take a rest on one of the park benches at the Garden of Hope on Grand River Street North beside Sibbick Fuels. The Garden was built to honor cancer survivors and in memory of those who did not survive. The Cobblestone Common, located downtown near the crosswalk, offers a tranquil setting and a beautiful view of the river.
